Jeff Brown-President and Chief Executive Officer:

Jeff has over twenty years of IT management experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry. His career started at Hanover Insurance Company, where he held various technical and leadership positions. In 1994 Jeff joined start-up insurer the Covenant Group, where he was the Manager of Insurance System Operations and was directly responsible for building our Massachusetts operations and our claims systems/operations. He graduated from Bryant College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, concentrating on Computer Science.  Straight from Bryant, Jeff began working at Hanover Insurance under the watchful eye of mentor Bill O’Brien. In April of 2000 Jeff started what would become Blue Cod Technologies, Inc.

Francesca D’Angelo-Chief Services Officer:

Francesca, co-founder of Blue Cod has as her primary responsibility the implementation and delivery of all professional services for the company. She directly oversees the departments responsible for these services; including Consulting Services and the Project Management Office. Francesca is another Allmerica Property & Casualty and Covenant Group alumna with over twenty years in the P&C insurance industry. She has a proven track record as a project leader, systems consultant and was responsible for developing the billing departments at the Covenant Groups Massachusetts and Connecticut offices. Since joining Blue Cod as a founding partner in 2000 she has directed various departments including Finance/Accounting, Operations/Delivery, and Human Resources. Francesca is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell where she majored in Music Education. She later became trained in computer management at Becker Jr. College giving her the qualifications to start at Hanover Insurance.

Rob DelMastro-Chief Product Officer:

Rob brings over twenty years of P&C experience, with previous employment at Allmerica Property & Casualty and the Covenant Group, prior to joining Blue Cod as a founding partner in 2000. Rob has held various senior positions in application development, network architecture, and system engineering. Rob has great breadth of business experience as well, having worked in a number of departments including underwriting, actuarial, and claims. Rob is the inspirational leader and designer of all of Blue Cod’s current and future software products. He is a graduate of Clark University where he earned a degree in Applied Math. He originally started at Hanover Insurance as an actuary.   

Mitch Mackoff-Chief Financial Officer:

Mitch joined Blue Cod in 2007. He is responsible for managing the finance, accounting, contracts, legal, human resources, purchasing and facilities functions. Mitch has more than 30 years total business experience, including over 25 years in emerging technology companies. He has a proven track record in venture capital and private placement financing, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. His background includes direct experience with companies involved with hardware, software, systems, networks and services and includes both venture-backed and traditional growth models. He has held executive management positions, both at a senior financial level and senior operations level, at several companies including Clearpoint, Epoch Systems, Steinbrecher Corporation, Maker Communications, Xevo Corporation and Cambrius. He is a “Big-8” trained CPA. His MBA degree, with concentrations in accounting, finance, and information systems, was awarded with Highest Distinction from Babson College.

Simon de M Walker-Vice President of Operations:

As Vice President of Operations at Blue Cod Technologies, Inc. Simon oversees the Blue Cod operations including the Business Process Outsourcing and Managed IT Services. Simon started his career as an entrepreneur and has over 12 years of management consulting and operating experience. As a consultant he advised global clients in Insurance and Financial Services sectors. Prior to joining Blue Cod, Simon was with Octavian Solutions as General Manager. Octavian is a SaaS solutions firm with products focused on wealth and asset management.  Simon joined Octavian from Unicorn Solutions where he served as a CEO. As CEO of Unicorn, Simon focused on company strategy, sales effectiveness, operational excellence and improving connectivity between the marketplace and Unicorn’s delivery. In 2006, Simon successfully negotiated the sale of Unicorn to IBM. Prior to joining Unicorn, Simon served as a Director of Business Consulting at Sapient Corporation. Simon holds BA in Economics (with Honors) from the University of Kings College and an MBA (with Honors) from the University of Texas, Austin.
