System Administrator

Job Summary
This position will work closely with various levels of technical staff throughout the company performing senior level system administration in a virtualized Microsoft Windows and Citrix environment.  We seek a strong and resourceful problem solver and communicator comfortable with the support of our growing base of ASP customers.  This position is multi-faceted and presents opportunities for working with a mix of technologies including VMware, Citrix in a MS Windows Server environment, EMC SAN, Netapp storage appliances and MS Exchange.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the end-to-end system administration of Blue Cod's Windows server and storage infrastructure.
• Manage shared system resources and collaborates closely with technical staff throughout the company.
• Translates business and project team requirements.
• Performs system troubleshooting and backups.
• Implements server maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, and hot fixes.
• Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.   
• This position requires participation in a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4 years experience as a system administrator.
• Experience in a MS Windows Server environment 2003/2008.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft networking (DNS, DHCP), Exchange server, and general network troubleshooting. 
• Experience with Citrix or Microsoft Terminal Services .
• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SANS) EMC or Netapps is preferred.
• Experience with virtualization technologies VMware is preferred.
• Experience with Load Balancing technologies (Netscaler) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
