Software Engineer

 Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Application Development and Support, a Software Engineer is responsible for overseeing and participating in development efforts for external customers and/or internal projects. 

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Works with business users to design user-friendly applications
• Designs and develops tools to be used by the APPS team to help streamline support
• Tracks and monitors issues reported by clients

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with .NET/C#
• Experience with SQL Server 2000 and up
• Experience with Web Services
• XML Experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Bachelors degree in MIS/CIS/CS or related equivalent
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Ability to accurately estimate development efforts
• Ability to work effectively on multiple efforts simultaneously
• Good team player
• Ability to step into multiple roles on an as-needed basis
• Desire to learn and support the Blue Cod suite of products
• P&C Insurance industry experience a plus

• Computer Monitor Work 90%
• Keyboard and Computer Mouse Manipulation 90%
